Aditya Academy’s ‘GenNext 2025’ Presents a Civilisational Journey of India — From the Cradle of Culture to the Vision of Viksit Bharat 2047
Barasat, December, 2025
What does it mean to be Indian in the 21st century? Aditya Academy explored this question not merely through words, but through rhythm, movement, memory, and imagination.
Aditya Academy Secondary, Barasat, in joint collaboration with Aditya Academy Senior Secondary, Dumdum, hosted ‘GenNext 2025’, its signature Winter Carnival and cultural showcase, at the Barasat campus. Anchored in the theme “Incredible India”, the event unfolded as a compelling narrative tracing India’s journey — from the birth of its ancient civilisation to the dawn of a technology-driven present, culminating in the collective vision of Viksit Bharat @2047.
The cultural presentations portrayed India as a living continuum — moving through early civilisation, classical traditions, folk narratives, the freedom movement, post-independence aspirations, and a modern nation where Artificial Intelligence and innovation coexist with timeless values. Each performance went beyond artistic expression to become an academic articulation, integrating history, civics, ethics, creativity, and critical thinking in alignment with the spirit of NEP 2020.

Students from both institutions presented a vibrant tapestry of classical, folk, and contemporary dance forms, demonstrating discipline, cultural literacy, and reflective learning. The performances reinforced the belief that education must nurture the mind, body, and conscience together.
The programme was graced by Chief Guest Guru Asimbandhu Bhattacharjee, dancer par excellence and Founder of the Upasana Centre of Dance, who spoke of the guru–shishya parampara as a timeless foundation for excellence and character. Guest of Honour Ms. Tanni Chowdhury, eminent dancer, highlighted how the performing arts nurture confidence, identity, and cultural sensitivity.
The event was further enriched by two Rotarians, Ms. Srabonee Mitra, Nodal Officer, IHM Kolkata, who encouraged students to explore their interests fearlessly, and Ms. Vaijayanti Bose, Independent Wellness Practitioner, who emphasised the importance of emotional balance and well-being in today’s fast-paced academic environment.
Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Roshni Aditya, Managing Director, Aditya Group, said,
“GenNext 2025 reflects our belief that education must honour India’s cultural roots while preparing students for a changing world. Through such initiatives, we strive to nurture confident, responsible individuals aligned with the vision of Viksit Bharat.”

Through GenNext 2025, Aditya Academy reaffirmed its commitment to an education model rooted in Indian values and responsive to global change. As the final act envisioned a hopeful India moving towards Viksit Bharat 2047, the message resonated clearly: “India’s future will be shaped not by technology alone, but by young minds who understand their past, engage responsibly with the present, and imagine the future with courage and compassion.”
