Indus Towers’ Digital Transformation Van touched Over 1.36 Lakh Lives Across India
Kolkata, November 7, 2025 – As India celebrates 10 years of Digital India, Indus Towers, one of the world’s largest telecom infrastructure companies today announced its contribution towards digital enablement for 136,525 people from underserved community with DigiShiksha.
As part of ‘Saksham’ (Indus Towers’ flagship Corporate Social Responsibility program), the 21-seater Digital Transformation Van by Indus Towers has reached rural and urban slum communities in Delhi, Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, and Odisha.
Launched in 2018, DigiShiksha initiative empowers youth, women, senior citizens, and farmers with digital literacy, IT skills, cybersecurity awareness, and financial education—directly aligning with the Government of India’s Digital India Mission. The endeavour of The Indus Towers’ DTV initiative has been to impart essential digital literacy, create awareness, confidence, and self-reliance among thousands of women. Speaking about the initiative, Neeti Wahi, Chief Digital & Information Officer at Indus Towers, stated, “Indus Towers’ DTV is a commitment to inclusive growth and a belief that technology can be a powerful equalizer. It is heartening to see over half of our beneficiaries are women, which is a testament to our focus on inclusive growth and sustainable impact.”
As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility flagship – Saksham, Indus Towers’ solar powered Digital Transformation Van provides free doorstep digital education and public services. The mobile classroom is equipped with high-speed internet, modern computers, printers, and e-learning tools thereby serving as a hub for community awareness sessions, including digital safety, environmental conservation, and waste management to its diverse audience representing school children (12+), women, farmers and senior citizens to empower those who left behind in the digital revolution. These sessions are led by expert trainers from NIIT Foundation, ensuring personalized support for learners.
These efforts demonstrate how DTV has become a transformative platform in enhancing women’s lives through its tools and knowledge that are essential to navigate the digital world and improve their livelihoods. Unlike conventional campaigns that rely on static centers, the DTV goes where the need is greatest and customizes its offerings for maximum impact.
