Rahane Praises Shah Rukh Khan’s Leadership and Shares Candid Thoughts on IPL and Indian Cricket
Kolkata, May 2: Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) captain Ajinkya Rahane made a noteworthy appearance at the centenary celebration of Indian Chamber of Commerce in a five-star hotel off the Bypass last Thursday evening. While interacting with the media, Rahane was asked about his equation with team co-owner and Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan.
Rahane responded with warmth and admiration, stating, “First and foremost, Shah Rukh Khan is an exceptional man. Everyone knows him as a superstar of Bollywood, but to us, he is something more. He treats every player in the team equally. He is incredibly genuine and heartfelt. I consider myself fortunate to be a part of his franchise.”

Speaking on the future of the Indian Premier League, Rahane was optimistic. He expressed confidence that the IPL will continue to grow in scale and influence. “The future of Indian cricket is very bright,” he said. However, the seasoned cricketer also struck a note of caution for the younger generation. He warned that fame and money from the IPL should not distract aspiring cricketers. “Only good performance can sustain a career. That’s the only thing that matters — the focus must always be on playing good cricket,” he advised.
